U.S. and Canadian officials met Tuesday in Washington, D.C. to discuss the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. Before the meeting, the Canadian trade minister Dominic LeBlanc sent a letter to U.S. and Mexican officials asking for a 16-year renewal of the trade deal. If the three countries don’t come to terms on the USCMA by July 1, the trade deal automatically goes through a review process.
