Mychal Neumiller says the weather conditions in Oklahoma have made for a frustrating start to the season. “We’ve been here for about 12 or 13 days already, I think we’ve cut three and a half days so far. It’s been rainy and cloudy and humid.” Neumiller, who is based at Bowdon, North Dakota, said the bushels just aren’t there. “We’ve had anywhere from 18 bushel wheat to 50 bushel wheat.” Recent rains have improved conditions for fall crops; the moisture arrived too late to significantly benefit this year’s wheat crop.
