The focus on protein, especially with the increased use of GLP-1 medications for weight loss, is growing. According to a new report from CoBank’s Knowledge Exchange, these trends have resulted in a sharp increase in meat snack sales. Meat snack sales increased more than 45 percent in the past four years, reaching $4.4 billion annually. CoBank also cites a significant investment in producing high-protein meat snacks in recent years.
