The European Union has approved a one-year suspension of duties on nitrogen fertilizer imports. The decision is being made to lower costs for farmers. The EU has also decided to diversify its supply away from Russia and Belarus and shift to urea and ammonia from the U.S., the Middle East, and North Africa.
