When the Trump Administration considered a plan to temporarily reduce tariffs on beef imports, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins was able to shut it down. Politico is reporting Rollins and other members of the administration were in the Oval Office to highlight the impact on the U.S. cattle producer. High consumer beef prices have been on President Trump’s radar for months, but a solution that works for consumers and ranchers has been hard to pin down.
