More than 1,700 union workers have been locked out at the Cargill beef processing plant in Fort Morgan, Colorado, after employees rejected the company’s latest contract proposal. The dispute involves workers represented by Teamsters Local 455 and centers on wages, healthcare costs and workplace safety protections. The plant was processing approximately 4,000 head of cattle per day.
