A federal court has given its preliminary approval to John Deere’s proposed antitrust settlement with farmers. The proposed $99 million settlement would go to the farmers who filed right-to-repair lawsuits against Deere. These farmers took legal action in 2022, claiming the company limited their access to the diagnostic tools needed to do their own repairs. Those farmers have until mid-September to challenge that settlement. This action does not end the antitrust lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission filed a year and a half ago.
