Otter Tail Power Company has filed a new 15-year Integrated Resource Plan with Minnesota regulators outlining future investments aimed at meeting growing electricity demand while maintaining reliability across the region. The utility’s long-range proposal includes construction of a new 50-megawatt natural gas plant expected to come online in 2031 or 2032, along with additional wind energy projects planned for 2035 and 2040. Otter Tail Power also highlighted several renewable energy and storage projects already under development, including the Solway Solar project, the Abercrombie Solar facility, expanded battery storage, and additional wind generation. Company officials say the plan is designed to provide reliable and affordable electricity as customer demand and regional energy markets continue evolving.
