Minnesota Congressman Brad Finstad calls the farm bill vote a major win for agriculture and Rural America. “Getting a bipartisan farm bill across the finish line in the United States House of Representatives has been long overdue.” He says the legislation reflects direct input from farmers, adding it was written by and for Rural America with strong input from southern Minnesota producers. Finstad also responded to criticism from House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member Angie Craig, saying her opposition is politically driven. “The ranking member’s running for higher office and the one who voted no on this bill is unrecognizable to the one that I have served with,” Finstad said, adding, “This is politics. The politics got put ahead of policy.”
