American Soybean Association President Scott Metzger testified before the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office on Tuesday, highlighting the importance of international trade to soybean farmers. Metzger said the impact from past tariff actions caused retaliation, including a 76 percent decline in the value of U.S. soybean exports to China from 2017 to 2018. The ASA leader said more retaliation is possible.
