Nitrogen is a critical expense for growers this spring. “One way to protect that nitrogen would be to split apply,” said Sam Olson, crop advisor, Centra-Sota Agronomy. “But, that’s not enough to completely mitigate your risk.” Nitrogen is vulnerable and a proven nitrogen stabilizer is recommended. “Anvol would be our stabilizer of choice for surface-applied nitrogen applications.” Nitrogen is a significant input cost and Olson said it is important to protect that application.
