The Minnesota legislative session wraps up in just over three weeks. In this final stretch, lawmakers need to come together on policy and bonding bills. The Red River Farm Network asked Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson if all the players are part of the negotiation process. “That’s a good question,” said Johnson. “The Governor has called a couple of meetings with caucus leaders, where he’s yet to invite the Senate Republicans so that’s been a little bit of a sore spot here for not only us as Republicans in the Senate, but many folks around the Capitol who understand that we’re going to be part of the picture too, because we are only one seat down from a majority. They’re going to need votes; I believe, we’ll be in that room, but as of now, they are focusing on the majority caucuses.”
