We’ve all seen signing events for high school athletes when making their college choice. A similar signing event is happening for future ag teachers at the Minnesota FFA Convention. “Anybody who has committed to one of the colleges that offer ag education, there’s an event for them at the state convention, a table signing for committing to teaching agricultural education,” said Mary Hoffmann, executive director, Minnesota FFA. “The Minnesota Department of Education deputy commissioner will be there, along with representatives from the state ag teacher association and the different colleges and universities so quite an honor for those students to be able to do that at the convention.” More than 4,000 FFA members and 800 supporters are in the Twin Cities for the Minnesota FFA Convention.
