The historic Minneapolis Grain Exchange building is being converted into housing. In addition to 230 apartments, there will be space for offices and retail. Open outcry at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange ended in December of 2008. The building was sold to Miami International Holdings in 2020 and continued to serve as its headquarters. A Minneapolis developer, Sherman Associates, now owns the downtown building.
