Time will be needed for the fields to dry out, but BASF Technical Sales Representative Nick Salentine expects the planting season to start soon. “Hoping we can get the wheels turning shortly and before you know it, we can be off to the races.” Growers are looking to cut costs, but they shouldn’t sacrifice yield. “One of the reasons we recommend spending a little more on a premium residual or a premium burndown herbicide or a fungicide is to protect the yield; we need those busiels.”
