Peterson Farms Seed Corn Product Manager Rick Swenson says most farmers are sticking to their normal rotation as they finalize their spring plans. “I’m not hearing a lot of swapping of acres this spring,” Swenson told RRFN. “Hopefully, everyone got their fertilizer booked last fall. I’ve been hearing of some people trying to buy all of their fertilizer now; I think that’s going to be more of a challenge from a price standpoint.” Swenson says the recent precipitation should help with soil moisture heading into planting. “We’re going to be in pretty good shape.”
