USDA is predicting a bump in soybean acres across the region. South Dakota has the biggest increase, up ten percent from 2025. Minnesota and North Dakota are forecast to see a two percent increase in soybeans. The projected corn acreage is down throughout the tri-state region. Minnesota corn acreage is expected to be down three percent from last year; North Dakota down six percent and South Dakota down eight percent. Spring wheat acres continue to grind lower. In Minnesota, acreage is forecast to be down ten percent from last year. North Dakota is down eight percent and South Dakota is down four percent.
