USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins says the Trump administration is moving quickly to finalize the next phase of the Renewable Fuel Standard. Rollins told Bloomberg the administration is working “at warp speed” on the RFS Set 2 rule, raising expectations that a formal announcement could come as soon as Friday during a White House agriculture event. Rollins says agriculture is a top priority for the administration, noting officials have held extensive meetings to ensure farmers are put first. She added that “farm security is national security” and expressed confidence the long-awaited rule is nearing completion. The proposal is currently under review at the Office of Management and Budget, with EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin also indicating the rule will be finalized by the end of the month.
