Urea Prices Surge

Half of the global urea supply typically ships through the Strait of Hormuz. In the past three weeks, urea prices in New Orleans have gone up nearly 40 percent. Due to the need for fertilizer ahead of the growing season, the Fertilizer Transportation Institute asked Class I railroads to prioritize fertilizer shipments.
