In today’s fast-paced agricultural world, quick access to capital is a must. One solution may be the new mobile check deposit platform from Fargo-based Bushel. Marketing Director Julia Eberhart says the digital payments gives farmers that access. “So for the farmer, instead of, getting the check in the mail that afternoon, having to drive back into town before the bank closes, and, having to wait that extra day or longer, versus being able to just snap a picture with their phone, have those funds. They could keep them in the Bushel account, which is going to earn them interest right away, they can move it to other accounts that make sense for them, it’s helping them get that capital and being able to do things with it in their real time.” Seventy-seven percent of grain settlements are still paid with paper checks. “When we look at technology development, it is what is really going to help the farmer to be able to operate in a better way for them.” Listen to the full interview.
