Rising oil prices linked to escalating tensions in the Middle East are prompting renewed calls for year-round E15 sales. Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Geoff Cooper says allowing nationwide, year-round sales of E15 would help protect consumers from sudden price spikes while expanding the use of domestically produced ethanol. The RFA estimates that if E15 were adopted nationwide, it could replace up to half of the 314 million barrels of oil the United States imported from OPEC countries in 2025.
