A bill has been introduced in the Minnesota House that would impose a moratorium on sustainable aviation fuel tax credits until the Environmental Quality Board establishes a generic environmental impact statement for new facilities. House Agriculture Committee co-chair Rick Hansen and Tax Committee co-chair Aisha Gomez introduced the bill. If passed, this proposal would result in a five-year ban on the construction of new SAF facilities in the state.
