Rock N’ Roll Agronomy crop consultant Jason Hanson says the silence he’s hearing from growers in his region is speaking volumes. “I don’t think I will be having any sit-downs with them until the end of this month, into March. That tells me that no finalized decisions have been made for next season.” Weed control remains a concern for Hanson. “I’m nervous about this; I had a tremendous surge in waterhemp this fall, and that was the same as the fall of 2024, two wet falls, and the numbers are incredible.” Hanson said that will need to be addressed this season, “and that costs money.”
