Dr. Ken Hellevang and Melvin and Luella Leland will be inducted into the North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame on March 4 during the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City. Hellevang was Extension Agriculture Engineer at North Dakota State University from 1980 to 2024, and is a national leader in grain storage issues. Melvin and Luella Leland are owners and operators of the 115-year-old Leland Red Angus ranch, on the edge of the western North Dakota Badlands. Melvin Leland served as president of the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association, Red Angus Association of America and the North Dakota Board of Animal Health.
