Proseed sales representative Jeff Hamre is fielding many calls from farmers this winter about maximizing yields without raising input costs. Acreage decisions are being finalized. “We know we’re going to do this with 90 percent of our ground, but there’s ten percent we’re not exactly sure about.” Sunflowers are garnering interest. “Farmers are thinking maybe getting back into sunflowers because they want to change up their rotation in that area that’s been canola on canola.”
