The South Dakota Senate has overwhelmingly voted to increase fees on large-scale livestock operations. Concentrated animal feeding operations would see the fees increase on a per-head basis. As an example, the amount for a mature dairy cow moves from just over 17 cents per head to 43 cents. The bill is now moving to the South Dakota House.
