The U.S. Supreme Court will hear a case that could impact thousands of lawsuits involving the use of Roundup herbicide. A Missouri jury awarded $1.25 million to John Durnell over his exposure to glyphosate and his cancer diagnosis. Bayer claims it should not be liable because the EPA approved its label without a cancer warning. “The Supreme Court decision to take the case is good news for U.S. farmers, who need regulatory clarity,” said Bayer CEO Bill Anderson. “It’s also an important step in our multi-pronged strategy to significantly contain this litigation.”
