GOP Proposing $15 Billion Relief Package

Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee Chair John Hoeven, Senate Agriculture Committee Chair John Boozman and House Agriculture Committee Chair Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson are reportedly working on a $15 billion farm assistance package. Boozman said there is a need for additional assistance. “After visiting with many, many producers from all over the country, we’re just in a very difficult situation,” said Boozman. “If you’re growing something in the ground, it really doesn’t matter what you’re growing; you’re losing money. And so because of that, we’re going to need additional help.”
