The animal rights activist group, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, has filed a petition with the federal government seeking the withdrawal of the new dietary guidelines. This group claims that agriculture groups and food companies unfairly influenced the new nutritional standards. PCRM wants the guidelines to be rewritten.
