Minnesota-based Riverview will pay $11 million and reduce groundwater usage to improve water access for the residents of Arizona’s Sulphur Springs Valley. According to Riverview, ‘this is a voluntary, forward-looking investment’ as part of its ongoing conservation efforts and commitment to responsible water stewardship. It is the first groundwater access agreement of its kind nationwide. Riverview is a family and employee-owned business based in Morris. It has dairy and beef locations in Minnesota, Arizona, South Dakota, New Mexico and Nebraska. Dairy farms are being built at Hillsboro and Wahpeton, North Dakota.
