Canadian Ambassador to the United States Named

Prime Minister Mark Carney has appointed Canada’s next ambassador to the United States. Mark Wiseman is currently a member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Canada-U.S. relations. Wiseman will be a point person for the upcoming review of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement and the current U.S. tariff strategy. He wrote an opinion column in the Globe & Mail last year, calling for reform of Canada’s supply/management system for dairy, eggs and poultry.
