Former Pork Board CEO Passes

A celebration of life will be held on January 23 in West Des Moines for Steve Murphy. Murphy, 75, passed away on December 15th from cancer. Murphy was the chief executive officer with the National Pork Board from 2001 to 2009 and was the AgWeb.com president/COO before that. Since 2009, Murphy has been part of a consulting firm, Venture Dynamics. Murphy also served as president of the Purdue Alumni Board of Directors.
