High volatility in cattle prices has done little to deter buyers at Sioux Falls Regional Livestock. “There’s such a volatile market that’s making for some bad movement, but it’s been pretty good now,” says owner Mike Koedam. “Yesterday we had a pretty good shot of yearlings, and it was good market.” Demand has the calf markets back to where they were before the dip in October. ” I’d say it recovered some classes of calves. would be back to where they were, but probably overall not quite as high as it was back then. But it sure recovered pretty well.”
