According to Government Executive, USDA has received mostly negative feedback about its reorganization plan. Public comment was taken in August and September. There were nearly 47,000 comments, but most were form letters. Of the 14,000 remaining messages, more than 80 percent oppose the reorganization. The USDA plans to relocate 2,600 employees to five regional hubs, located in Kansas City, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Fort Collins, and Salt Lake City. The plan is expected to be implemented by the end of 2026.
