While growers would like to see an uptick in wheat prices, the crop remains an important part of the crop rotation. “Yeah, it’s a big crop for a lot of growers when they think about managing weeds, especially dealing with a lot of resistant weeds these days.” WestBred Technical Product Manager Justin Berg expects corn to be battling for more acres. “Corn acres are probably gonna be up a little bit going into next year,” said Berg. “It’s gonna be pocketed though, there’s gonna be areas of the Northern Plains where wheat will maintain the share of the acres.”
