Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds led a bipartisan group of senators asking the Trump Administration to finalize a bird flu vaccine strategy. In March, USDA pledged $100 million to research vaccines and therapeutics as part of a broader strategy to address avian influenza. USDA received over 400 proposals in June, but has not taken any action.
