North Dakota Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak says President Trump’s newly announced $12 billion Farmer Bridge Assistance Program will deliver needed relief to producers facing high input costs, low commodity prices, and ongoing trade uncertainty. The program covers a wide range of row crops, including soybeans, corn, wheat, canola, sunflowers, barley, and lentils, with payments expected to be released by February 28, 2026. Fedorchak has pressed the administration for additional support throughout the year, including a letter urging relief for North Dakota soybean growers. She says the new assistance will help farmers manage economic pressure while trade negotiations continue.
