The Trump administration announced $12 billion in aid to support U.S. farmers struggling with low crop prices, high input costs, and trade disruptions caused in part by tariffs. The package includes $11 billion in one-time payments through the Farmer Bridge Assistance program for row crop farmers, with an additional $1 billion allocated to commodities not covered under the program. President Trump said the aid will help farmers navigate current challenges and prepare for next year’s planting season. “This relief will provide much-needed certainty to farmers as they get this year’s harvest to market and look ahead to next year’s crops. We’re going to make them so strong it will indeed be a golden age for farmers.”
