Optimism for a Thaw in Canada-China Relations

After a week in China, Canadian Agriculture Minister Heath McDonald is optimistic that trade relations between the two countries are improving. Canada has been effectively locked out of the Chinese canola market since 2018. McDonald said China has not made any promises to lift the ban on Canadian canola, but the door is opening for change.
