Trump Tariff Payments Proposed

President Trump says tariff revenue could be used to fund payments of at least $2,000 for most Americans. In a post on Truth Social, Trump called opponents of tariffs “fools” and said the U.S. is “the richest, most respected country in the world” with low inflation and a record stock market.  The president didn’t specify who would qualify for the payments, but said high-income earners would be excluded.
