14 Small Refinery Exemptions Approved

The EPA has approved 14 requests for small refinery waivers, exempting these companies from the biofuel blending mandates. Two requests were denied. The agency now has 15 small refinery exemptions pending. The biofuel industry generally opposes these waivers from the Renewable Fuel Standard because it cuts into ethanol demand.
