When you consider the 28 national winners in the National Wheat Yield Contest, the average yield was 147 bushels per acre. That’s the highest in the ten years of the competition. National Wheat Foundation Executive Director Anne Osborne shares the results from the spring wheat category. “On the spring wheat side, we saw a bin buster, the same bin buster as last year, Nick Pfaff, that was exciting for him with a different variety.” The winners will be recognized at Commodity Classic in late February. State and national winners are listed on the National Wheat Yield website.
