Australia is preparing to ship its first canola to China in five years. At least three cargoes have been booked for the fourth quarter. Australia was shut out of the Chinese market five years ago in a dispute over phytosanitary issues. This business is seen as a trial run to see if Australia can meet China’s specifications for canola.
