The U.S. Meat Export Federation has announced the 2025 recipents of its most prestigious awards. National Association of State Departments of Agriculture CEO Ted McKinney will receive the Michael J. Mansfield Award. McKinney was the first USDA undersecretary for trade and foreign agricultural affairs. Dermot Hayes, who recently retired as an Iowa State University professor, will receive the USMEF Distinguished Service Award. Hayes has been a consulting economist for the National Pork Producers Council and National Pork Board. The awards will be presented at the USMEF Strategic Planning Conference on November 13.
