Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins used social media to provide an update on New World Screwworm. USDA has staff on the ground in Mexico monitoring 350 collection sites in affected areas. Testing is also being done in three states on the U.S.-Mexican border. USDA has confirmed nearly 7,900 cases in southern Mexico, 800 new cases since October 2. Rollins called New World Screwworm a national security threat.
