USDA reports, including crop progress, crush data and export information, are unavailable during the government shutdown. “We’re kind of running blind with the government shutdown, we don’t have any true fundamental news, but that gives us plenty of other things to watch that the market may have been ignoring,” said Allison Thompson, The Money Farm. “Obviously, we continue to watch the evolving U.S.-China trade situation, as well as the ongoing harvest here in the U.S.”
