According to Bloomberg, U.S. Ambassador to China David Perdue met with farm-state lawmakers and said China is not expected to buy U.S. soybeans anytime soon. In the closed-door meeting, Perdue said farmers are being used as leverage in their negotiations with the United States. The Trump Administration is continuing to seek a trade deal with China and Perdue reportedly said there is always hope an agreement will happen.
