Warm weather is expected to keep the harvest season moving quickly across the Northern Plains. Nutrien Ag Solutions Meteorologist Eric Snodgrass said the conditions should help farmers finish strong. “The warmer weather should promote pretty good dry down and I’m not anticipating much precipitation for much of the Plains.” Snodgrass added that the pattern could stick around well into October. “If it is not dislodged by maybe the second week of October, we could be looking at a mild October as well.” He said that, compared to the challenges in the Eastern Corn Belt, the Northern Plains are running on all cylinders this season.
