The South Dakota State University College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences has appointed Alexander ‘Sandy’ Smart as the interim director of SDSU Extension. A national search for the position is expected to begin this fall. Rosie Nold has been named the interim program director of South Dakota 4-H and Heather Gessner is the new interim director of SDSU Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources. Previously, Nold was an assistant department head in the animal science department. Gessner is a livestock business management field specialist
