At Emerado, North Dakota, Shane Sand says more time is needed for his corn and soybeans to mature “which is fine because sugarbeet harvest started this week.” Dry edible bean yields thave been disappointing. “It looked massive, like 3,000- plus pounds in places, and it just wasn’t there. It’s been way less than I thought it would be.”
